AlphaDrift

Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 August 2026

These terms govern your use of www.alphadrift.app. Clauses 3 to 8 are the ones that matter most, and they are written plainly on purpose.

Read this much, at least

AlphaDrift is not financial advice and the operator is not licensed to give any. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, and nothing here has been prepared with you in mind.

The written analysis is generated by AI from public sources including podcasts. It can misquote people, attribute a view to the wrong person, or get a number wrong. Check the original before you act on any of it.

The operator personally holds many of the securities discussed. See clause 7.

1Accepting these terms

By using AlphaDrift you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can bind that organisation.

2What AlphaDrift is, and what it is not

AlphaDrift is a news and research publication. Its principal purpose is to report and comment on financial and economic news — what commentators, podcasters, macroeconomic releases and prediction markets are saying — and to set that reporting against where prices currently sit, so a reader can see where the two have diverged. It also provides reporting tools that chart and summarise a reader’s own holdings.

Its principal purpose is not to provide financial product advice, and it does not do so. It is not a financial product, a trading platform, a broker, a licensed research house, a signal service, or a substitute for professional advice. It is operated by an individual in New South Wales, Australia, not by a registered company.

3No financial advice, and no licence

AlphaDrift does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and is not authorised to provide financial product advice. Nothing on this site is intended as, or should be treated as, financial product advice.

Nothing here is personal advice. Personal advice is advice that takes account of your objectives, your financial situation or your needs. We know none of those things about you. Nothing published on AlphaDrift has been prepared with you, or any individual, in mind, and you should consider whether any of it is appropriate for your own circumstances before acting.

Nothing here is an offer or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or apply for any security, fund, derivative or other financial product.

The labels are model outputs, not instructions. Scores, verdicts and terms used across the site — including “Opportunity Signal”, “Dip Signal”, momentum and macro scores, and the + and markers beside tickers — are labels a model applies to describe a computed state or a reading of what someone else said. They are not directions to act and they are not advice. The methodology behind them is published on the site, and it is a simplification of a complicated world.

Investing carries risk, including the risk of losing your capital. Past performance, back-tested results and model outputs do not predict future returns. Before making any investment decision, get advice from someone licensed to give it, who knows your circumstances.

4AI-generated content

Substantial parts of AlphaDrift are written by AI — the News & Research articles, the explanations of why a holding moved, and the analysis panels. This content is not reviewed line by line before publication.

AI systems make mistakes. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, internally inconsistent, or confidently wrong. Figures may be misstated. Events may be misdated. Nothing generated this way should be relied on without checking it against the underlying source.

Data on the site is also refreshed on a schedule rather than continuously, so prices, scores and commentary may be stale by the time you read them.

5What we publish about other people

The News & Research section summarises publicly available material — podcast episodes, interviews, published commentary, macroeconomic releases and prediction-market pricing. The summaries are AlphaDrift’s own words, written by AI. They are not transcripts and are not intended to reproduce any substantial part of the underlying work.

We are not affiliated with anyone we write about. AlphaDrift is not endorsed, sponsored, authorised by or connected with any person, podcast, publication, fund or firm named on the site. Names and marks appear solely to identify who said what.

Attribution may be wrong. An AI summary can misquote a speaker, attribute a view to the wrong person, strip the qualifications off a carefully hedged statement, or read a lean where none was intended. Where a ticker carries a + or , that is our reading of the direction a source appeared to lean — it is not a recommendation from AlphaDrift, and it is not necessarily a recommendation the speaker made or would make. Treat every attribution as a pointer to the original, not as a substitute for it.

6The Scorecard

The Scorecard tracks how directional calls attributed to public sources performed afterwards. Understand what it is before you read anything into it:

  • It is benchmark-relative. A call scores as a win only if it beat a market benchmark over the same window, because in a rising market almost everything looks right.
  • It is notional. There are no cash balances, no position sizing, no transaction costs and no tax. It is not the performance of any real portfolio, and nobody made these returns.
  • It rests on our AI’s reading of what someone said, and on our choice of the date and window. Both the call and its timing may be misclassified.
  • It is not a rating of any person, their competence, or their track record, and it is not a basis for deciding whose views to follow.

7Our interests, and how AlphaDrift is funded

The operator invests personally in what this site covers. The operator holds, and trades, positions in many of the securities, funds and industries discussed on AlphaDrift. Those positions may change at any time without notice, may be taken before or after something is published, and may be inconsistent with what the site says. Assume a personal interest in any name you see here.

Nobody pays us. AlphaDrift receives no payment, commission, fee, sponsorship, advertising revenue or other benefit from any issuer, fund manager, broker, trading platform, podcaster or publication — whether for coverage, for the way something is described, or for inclusion or exclusion. There are no affiliate links and no referral arrangements. The site is free and earns nothing.

8Corrections and complaints

If you are named on AlphaDrift and we have got you wrong, tell us and we will fix it. That includes a view attributed to you that you did not express, a misquotation, a mischaracterisation, or a Scorecard entry that misrepresents what you said. Email wtheorydeveloper@gmail.com with the page and what is wrong, and we will correct or remove it promptly. The same goes for any factual error — please report it.

9Accounts

You may create an account with an email address and password, or with Google. You must be at least 18. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Give accurate details, and do not impersonate anyone or share your account.

An account currently gives you a signed-in session. The personal portfolio dashboards under /private are restricted to the site’s operator and are not part of what an account gives you.

10Fees, and no guarantee it keeps running

AlphaDrift is currently free and no fee is payable. In exchange, nothing is promised about it. We may change, restrict, suspend or shut down any part of the site — including features, scores, methodologies, data sources and the site itself — at any time, without notice, and without liability to you. Do not build anything you depend on around its continued existence.

We may introduce paid features in future, including for parts of the site that are free today. Nothing here is a promise that any feature stays free. If we do introduce a charge, the price and what it covers will be shown before you are asked to pay, payment will be handled by a specialist payment provider, and you will never be billed without agreeing to the charge first or billed for use that has already happened. These terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated before any charge is made.

11Market data and third-party content

Market, macroeconomic and prediction-market data on AlphaDrift comes from third parties including Yahoo Finance, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), Finnhub, Polymarket, TradingView and public news feeds. We do not own that data, we do not warrant its accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and its providers do not endorse AlphaDrift.

Your use of that data through this site is subject to those providers’ own terms. You may not extract, redistribute, resell or commercially exploit data obtained from AlphaDrift.

12Automated access and the API

AlphaDrift exposes a read-only API for approved use, gated by an access key. Access is granted at our discretion and may be rate-limited, changed or revoked at any time, without notice and without reason.

Except through that API with a valid key, you may not scrape, crawl beyond ordinary search-engine indexing, bulk-download, or use automated means to extract content or data from the site. You may not use AlphaDrift content to train a machine-learning model without our written permission.

13Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose;
  • present AlphaDrift content to anyone else as advice, as a recommendation, or as your own;
  • interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
  • attempt to access another user’s account or any non-public part of the service;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.

14Intellectual property

The AlphaDrift name, branding, site design, methodologies and written content belong to the operator. You may read, quote briefly with attribution, and link to anything on the site. You may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.

Third-party names, marks and content referred to on the site remain the property of their owners and are used for identification and commentary only.

15Third-party services and links

AlphaDrift relies on third parties including Supabase, Vercel, Google, Anthropic and TradingView, and links out to external sites. Each operates under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

16Disclaimers

Subject to clause 18, AlphaDrift is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that its data will be accurate, current or complete, or that anything on it is suitable for any purpose.

17Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 18, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any loss you suffer from relying on anything published on AlphaDrift, including investment losses, lost profits and lost opportunity;
  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss;
  • our total liability for all claims connected with the site is limited to the total amount you have paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim — which, while the service is free, is nil.

18Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee applies and our liability may lawfully be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.

19Indemnity

You indemnify the operator of AlphaDrift against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your republication of content from the site.

20Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete your account, or block your access, at any time — including where we believe you have breached these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing wtheorydeveloper@gmail.com. Clauses 3 to 8 and 14 to 19 survive termination.

21Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be marked by updating the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.

22Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
